WATERLOO — A Syracuse man who tried sending pornography to a minor in Waterloo pleaded guilty to a felony charge Monday in county court.

David Mangan, 37, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted disseminating incident material to a minor. He is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 29 by Judge Dennis Bender to six months in prison and 10 months of probation.

Mangan was arrested by state police in April. He admitted using a computer to try to engage in sexual conduct with the minor.

At the time of his arrest, state police investigators said Mangan was driving a school bus in Cayuga and Seneca counties for a company based in Cayuga County. Police declined to be more specific on the allegations but said no incident happened on a bus.

Mangan will also have to register as a sex offender.
